The Next Step in Lagoon Evolution is the new Lagoon 43
New Lagoon 43 – Orders for 2025 are open!
Lagoon has just announced the brand-new Lagoon 43. Its World Premiere is scheduled for Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2024, and we couldn’t be more excited. This catamaran model promises a memorable cruise for everyone onboard. Moreover, it’s highly adaptable, and this was the main feature of the very design and engineering plans. The Lagoon 43 is a perfect fit for those who seek adventure, relaxation, and a flexible living experience at sea.
Key Features and Benefits
The Lagoon 43’s modular boundaries let it easily convert and transform spaces and blend them; interior with exterior, cockpit with saloon. Setting a table for 6 or 12 people, it’s your choice. Gathering and sharing dining experiences and beyond with the whole crew is guaranteed. The generous interior volume and larger semi-island double berths in every cabin, allow more comfort. The en-suite bathrooms provide privacy and refreshments to each crew member.
The designers made sure to ease embarking and disembarking with additional aft entryways on each hull. This certainly adds to the crew’s safety and convenience, particularly when getting on and off the catamaran. Sailors with little or no experience tend to struggle with that a bit.
The sun lounges on the roof and the seating area that is accessed from the helm station are both great places to enjoy the benefits of the outdoors. In addition, sailors can relax in either the forward cockpit or aft bench, as well as on the convenient sun pad mounted on the tender davits.
Design, Options and Specifications
The creators of the Lagoon 43 were the renowned VPLP Design for the naval architecture, Patrick le Quément for the exterior, and, Nauta Design did their magic with the interior spaces.
Owner’s version layout features a master cabin occupying one hull with a private bathroom along with a walk-in shower, work desk, and additional storage space. The second hull has two double cabins with en-suite heads. The 4-cabin layout has 4 double cabins with en-suite bathrooms.
The catamaran’s length overall is 13.92 meters, the beam is 7.69 meters, and it has a draft of 1.4 meters. All that is powered by 2 x 57 hp engines. And the catamaran has a standard upwind sail area of 105 m², with the square top mainsail having 68 m² and the furling genoa 37 m².
The Lagoon 43 draws a powerful heritage from its predecessors but continues to innovate. Its adaptable nature, generous interior volumes, and larger berths, redesigned access, and versatile and modular boundaries, promise an enjoyable and unforgettable experience for everyone onboard.
